Yeah, admittedly, the logistics of the tower are a conundrum. I suppose you have to chalk things like stale food, disposal of waste & trash, air supply, etc. to the fact that this was a fairy tale. The tower was probably used in place of a convent or madhouse.

That’s going to be one MASSIVE tower if they put in seven year’s worth of food, seven year’s worth of water, and seven year’s worth of art supplies!
Not to mention seven years worth of toiletries!
Seriously though, if no light at all can get in how is air supposed to get in? I’m pretty sure she’d suffocate within 24 hours.
not to mention 7 years worth of air tanks…
Oh, I absolutely love this story! Shannon Hale wrote an adaptation of this. It was called… ah… Book of a Thousand Days. Yay! I can’t wait to see how you guys present it. <3
if it is completely sealed off how do they get rid of their waste? Trash, sewage, etc?
And seven years of candles XD
I wonder how this tale tuns out! :)
Won’t seven years worth of food spoil eventually? I see no fruit in her future…wheat will last… but then seven years of wood… o.o where are they stocking all this… times like this you can’t think about the logic of things.. Her father is cruel! Child abuse.. i call child abuse!
…..how long has she been in there at this point?
I like how you guys have issue with the 7 years in a tower thing but not turning women into flowers…
Anybody who has played Dwarf Fortress knows that there are many ways to seal away rebellious nobles while still keeping them alive. Food chutes anyone?
And now the art shift makes sense…
