Panel 1: The princee wonders what the bride was saying. Orland: What are you saying? Maleen: Nothing. I was only thinking of Maid Maleen.
Panel 2: The prince is taken aback, but says nothing.
Panel 3: The bride and bridegroom walk across a foodbridge on the way to the church.
Panel 4: The bride once again speaks softly. Maleen: Footbridge, footbridge, please don't break or chide, for I'll gladly admit I'm not his true bride.

You know, this is a lot like a Swedish folk tale I just read called “The Princess in the Earthen Cave”. It makes sense though, because the tales did travel.
There’s nothing like reading through collections — like Andrew Lang’s coloured books — to go humm, humm, this looks a trifle familar.
Poor Prince! The walk to the church becomes a Guilt Trip…
Haha! It doesn’t feel out of place at all when normally reading the fairy tales in book form, but indeed the prince’s reaction is the normal one :D I love the sweatdrop!
